A Penny For My Thoughts

Surrender? Amnesty? I Think Not

By Paul Wein

Just one day shy of three months since Osama Bin Laden and his merry band of leeches committed the worst terrorist attack in human history – the Taliban and Al-Qeada, are talking about surrendering with the hopes of gaining amnesty – and I hope to God that we are not listening.

When the United States led forces began bombing in Afghanistan, I remember seeing the Taliban and Al-Qeada press conferences – and hearing the most Anti-American twisted load of bull I have ever heard in my life. They said things like our attack is unprovoked, that we are the real terrorists – and my personal favorite – that they were planning to take the packets of food that we dropped, poison them, give them back to their own people – and say that the United States is trying to poison the Afghan people. But now, as the bombing in Afghanistan over the last few weeks became more and more severe – those same

Just the fact that they are asking for such things makes me laugh. They are nothing both evil, twisted monsters who plunged this country and this world into an all out war against terrorism by committing a completely unprovoked attack against the United States and the free world on September 11th – and now they want us to be easy on them?

I think that the only thing we should do is treat them as harshly, rudely – and nastily as they treated us. They were not planning on offering us amnesty or forgiveness when they sent four of our own planes full of people crashing into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and a field in Pennsylvania. They were not going easy on us when they destroyed the World Trade Center and sent a City full of millions of New Yorkers into a panic – and they showed absolutely no amnesty toward Doug – so you tell me why we should show any to them?
