A Penny For My Thoughts

Kathleen – You Did The Right Thing – For Me

By Paul Wein

On March 23, 2010, my former company and I parted ways – which was basically their decision more than it was mine. At first, I was not sure how to deal with it, but after a while of sadness, nightmares about losing my job, and some serious soul searching –as fate would have it, my wrestling show Ring Fever exploded right at that same time. So based on that and my theory that everything happens for a reason – I have one thing to say to my former company and my former boss Kathleen who made the final decision regarding my dismissal…

…thank you.

Almost immediately following the day we parted, Ring Fever gained momentum like never before. From covering shows like TNA and FCW, to having six to eight people call our weekly radio show – to being recognized at local events – Ring Fever is more than it ever was – and that would not be possible time or effort wise without having parted ways with my former company.

Am I mad that they let me go? Absolutely. I can say with all honesty that I have never worked harder at a job then I did with my former company. I had not only a serious work ethic about my job – but a passion for it. In addition to wanting to do a great job – I knew that in a very small way, I was helping our men and women in uniform defend this country. So when this happened, I was devastated. But the more Ring Fever grew and grew – the more I realized that Kathleen did me the biggest favor in the world.

Currently, I have been on countless radio shows, have linked our website to many well-known wrestling sites and communities – and have started preliminary negotiations with several television networks about making Ring Fever a reality show. While I am sad that I lost my job and angry with my former colleagues for forgetting that I exist – I revel in the fact that now I will be more successful then I ever was before.

So as I push forward with Ring Fever and the possibility of being on network television on a weekly basis, I have only one thing to say to my former boss Kathleen – in the words of Jen Tabeling…

…great job! – I’ll let the (Ring Fever) team know.

“I got something to tell you.
I got something to say.
I'm gonna put this dream in motion...
...never let nothing stand in my way."
