Tomorrow, Julie and I are going to embark on the journey of a lifetime. We are going to a place that – in spite of all the traveling I have done in my life – neither one of us have ever been. We will spend eight days and seven nights in a city that is known as the “Disneyworld for adults” – and I know we will have the time of our lives in the vacation spots of vacation spots…

…Las Vegas.

Sunday will be me and Julie’s first wedding anniversary, and right when we got married, we both knew exactly where we wanted to spend that special day – the one place that we can explore, discover and enjoy together. The one place where we can let our hair down and escape life for a while – and the one place where we can, instead of going on vacation – send our lives on vacation.

In preparation for this trip, I must say that Julie has found her calling. For the last month, she has found and downloaded literally dozens of coupons for discounts on food, merchandise – and even slot credits. If we use all of the coupons that Julie has downloaded – we could save close to $1,000. She did an amazing job finding these discounts, offers and comps, which will certainly help us in Sin City.

We’re not gamblers, but we do plan to play the penny slots at least once. Our main plan is to visit many of the strip’s attractions – like Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum, Fantasy – and Titanic, The Artifact Exhibition again. Our plan is that whenever we wake up – even if it is the middle of the night – we plan to go out and absorb the real “City That Never Sleeps.”

So as we prepare for the best vacation we have ever taken – we are both counting the hours until we can finally say that we are in Las Vegas – and begin what will no doubt be the greatest experience of our lives.
