A Penny For My Thoughts

“So Once In Every Year We Throng, Upon A Day Apart, To Praise The Lord With Feast And Song – In Thankfulness Of Heart.”

By Paul Wein

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. As I always do, I make a list of what I am thankful for – so here is the list that I mean from the bottom of my heart:

•First and foremost – I am thankful that this year – I married my Julie on June 20th and she became Mrs. Paul Wein – and has been the best wife that a husband could ever ask for.
•I am thankful that I was asked to be a member of a team for a very special Army project – one that I worked very hard on and has earned me lots of praise.
•I am very thankful that we moved into a much cheaper apartment – and got away from the Land Lord from, Hell.
•I am so happy that Beavis turned eight and is healthy, happy – and still as spoiled rotten as ever – which, to me – means he is going to probably outlive Julie and I.
•I am thankful that Ring Fever now has its own radio show on http://www.blogtalkradio.com/ringfever – and that now, YOU can call in and enjoy the show every Friday night from 6-7p.m. EST at 347-989-1556.
•I am thankful that this year – on the anniversary of the day that the first A Penny For My Thoughts was written – I reached the milestone of 1,000 columns, since March 12, 1997 – and have continued to excel toward the milestone of 2,000.
•I am thankful that I have found a lot of old friends this year – and have once again reconnected with my past.
•And I am thankful that Julie and I saw Stephen Lynch in concert – and had an amazing time.

I am very grateful that I have so much to be thankful for, especially since the majority of it has to do with Julie. I know that next year my column will be just as great because Julie has made my life better than it’s ever been – and I can’t thank her enough.

Happy Thanksgiving everybody! Enjoy your life as much as I’ll enjoy mine.

“I don’t mind saying that I still love it all.
I wallowed in the springtime, now I’m welcoming the fall.
For every moment of joy and every hour of fear.
For every winding road that brought me here.
For every breath, for every day of living…
…this is my Thanksgiving.”
