A Penny For My Thoughts

Now Will You Find Osama?

By Paul Wein

This morning, over 35 people were killed when four consecutive bombings detonated in London’s Underground Tube System and on a Double Decker Bus. This attack in London mirrors attacks that occurred in Madrid Spain – and of course – America on September 11th. With all these attacks, the world as a whole is screaming for justice against those responsible for these atrocities…

…so what the hell are we doing in Iraq?

On June 28th, “President” George W. Bush spoke to the American people about the “war” in Iraq and our “progress.” In his speech, he said that he recognizes, “that Americans want our troops home as quickly as possible,” that, “work in Iraq is difficult and dangerous” – and that, “it is worth it.”

Is it…really?

I think what is “worth it” is finding the terrorists that are responsible for killing innocent people all over the world – and stopping them from forcing us to live in a world of fear and threat. George W. Bush has this psychotic belief that liberating Iraq will stop the “war on terror” – but today’s attack proves that he is dead wrong. Iraq has nothing to do with what happened in Madrid, in London – or in America on 9/11. The true key to ending the “war on terror” is to find Osama Bin Laden and the monsters that seek to inflict these atrocities on innocent people across the free world.

Bush said, during his speech just nine days ago, that, “America will not leave before the job is done” and that, “we will stay in Iraq as long as we are needed.” Personally, I have a real problem with that. With today’s technology, the Federal Government can see, using satellites from space, what color my shoes are. They can see, using thermal mapping, how many people are hiding inside a building. And they can, with their enormous amount of manpower – find anyone we want to anywhere in the world. But instead of focusing on Osama Bin Laden and the members of Al Qaeda – we are sending all of our manpower, money and resources to liberate a country that does not want us there. We are losing troops every day and spending millions of dollars a day to assist a country full of people that hate us. Why? Why are we not looking for the real terrorists that killed my best friend and made me worry sick about my friend Arthur in London who could have been killed in today’s horrific attacks?

As I have said many times before, “President” Bush is nothing more that an opportunistic tyrant who is using this country and its resources for his own personal financial agenda. He is a terrorist who wants nothing more than to use fear as a weapon to maintain his tyrannistic control over this country and its people – and he is no better than a snake oil salesman who is making us believe that this “war” in Iraq is going to save us from the “war on terror.”

He is wrong. He is a liar – and he must be stopped…

…before it’s too late.
